Norbert originated the role of Trickster in this Murray Mednic play that was inspired by Native American ritual and mythology. This play incorporates solemn ceremony along with a fair amount of vaudevillian slapstick comedy. It is comprised of seven individual plays that were written individually over the span of seven years at the Padua Hills Playwrights Festival. After the seventh play was completed, the entire Coyote Cycle was presented in its entirety. This play is presented outdoors on seven different sets, and is shown from dusk to dawn.
Trickster is hidden underground for the first few minutes of the play, then bursts forth in an explosion of earth, twigs, rocks and leaves.
